Rocky Mountain
The Rocky Mountain On Fire Premium Cow Elk Call is a medium-sized acrylic elk call engineered to deliver the soft, convincing vocalizations that bring bulls into range during the rut. Built for hunters who know that authentic cow elk sounds—mews, chirps, and estrus whines—are the foundation of successful backcountry hunting. Whether you're glassing from a ridge or calling from a blind, this call produces the natural elk language that triggers aggressive response without the overkill of larger instruments.
The call's design centers on a narrower V-notched reed and a compact sound board and barrel, which work together to generate the softer, higher-pitched vocalizations characteristic of receptive cows. This scaled-down construction makes it intuitive to operate and easy to pack—no bulk, no wasted weight, just the acoustic profile elk actually respond to in the field. If you've struggled with cow calls that sound mechanical or over-amplified, the On Fire's architecture solves that problem by prioritizing realism over volume.
Built from durable acrylic, this call is field-tough and weather-resistant, ready for early season high-country hunts or late-season creek bottoms. It's the kind of call that belongs in the pack of any serious elk hunter who wants to move away from guesswork and toward genuine communication with the herd.
The narrow V-notched reed generates soft nasal mews, chirps, and estrus whines—the core vocalizations of receptive cows that trigger bull response during the rut.
Yes. The compact design and responsive reed make it straightforward to learn, and the authentic sound profile helps build confidence as you develop your calling technique.
Acrylic is tough in the field and resistant to temperature and moisture swings typical of high-country and transitional hunting environments. It will stand up to regular pack hunting use.
