Rock Island Armory
The Rock Island Armory STK100 Ultra HC is a 9mm striker-fired pistol built for shooters who want reliable personal protection and range performance without compromise. This 17-round capacity semi-automatic delivers the weight and control of a metal-framed gun while keeping the durability and price point you expect from a modern polymer design. The aluminum grip frame is integrated into the gun's construction, adding just enough heft to tame recoil impulse while staying light enough for all-day carry. If you're coming from 1911s or traditional steel guns, the grip angle here will feel familiar—a thoughtful choice that translates to better hand placement and faster sight acquisition.
Rock Island's patent-pending frame design gives the STK100 a standout advantage in its class: you get metal-frame durability and shootability with polymer-frame affordability. The white-dot front sight and optic-ready rear sight setup keeps your options open, whether you're running iron sights at the range or planning a red-dot upgrade down the road. The black anodized finish is clean, professional, and built to handle regular use. Trigger pull runs between 3 and 7 pounds, consistent with striker-fired pistols tuned for both control and speed.
At under 2 pounds and just under 8 inches long, the STK100 strikes a practical balance—compact enough for concealed carry, substantial enough to manage recoil and aim naturally. This is a no-nonsense 9mm designed for the shooter who values function and value equally.

Yes. At 1.85 lbs and under 8 inches long, the STK100 is compact enough for daily concealed carry. The aluminum grip frame adds enough weight for comfort and recoil management without bloating your waistband.
The rear sight is optic-ready, so you can mount a compatible red-dot sight. The front sight is fixed and co-witnesses, giving you a backup aiming system if you choose to add an optic.
The aluminum grip is built into the frame as one unit—it's not a separate component you add on. This design reduces the weight and felt recoil of the gun compared to all-polymer frames, while keeping the gun light and affordable compared to a full steel frame.
The magazine capacity is 17 rounds, making it well-suited for range sessions and personal defense.
