Rock Island Armory
The Rock Island Armory RIA5OE is a 9mm single-action-only pistol built for shooters who want a reliable, modern duty or competition gun without the frills—just solid performance and smart design. At 4.91 inches, this SAO platform offers a compact footprint that handles well from the holster or on the range, and it comes with three 18-round magazines to keep you in the fight. RIA designed the 5.0E as an enhanced iteration with a focus on practical features: new optics-ready cuts and plates let you mount your preferred red dot without guesswork, while the improved barrel geometry and aggressive slide serrations give you confidence and control when you need it most.
The real story here is fit and finish. Rock Island Armory hand-crafts each RIA5OE with their Armor Series elite finish—a durable, corrosion-resistant coating that protects the gun and looks sharp doing it. The glass-filled nylon grips keep weight down and provide solid purchase in all conditions. Night Fision sights—green fiber optic front, blank serrated rear—are already installed and give you fast sight acquisition in low light. Single-action trigger breaks cleanly at 4.5 pounds, and the semi-auto cycling is dead reliable.
Whether you're building a carry gun, setting up for competition, or stocking a home-defense platform, the RIA5OE offers genuine value: all the modern conveniences (optics cuts, quality sights, capacity) in a no-nonsense package. It's the kind of gun that rewards practice and runs when you need it to.
