Rival Arms
The Rival Arms Extended Slide Lock for Glock Gen 3/4 is a precision-machined upgrade that transforms a frustrating part of routine pistol maintenance into something genuinely easier to handle. Manufactured from solid stainless steel and finished with a nitride case-hardening process, this take-down lock gives you a larger, more grippable surface than Glock's factory part—a small change that matters every time you field-strip your gun. Whether you're a competition shooter breaking down between stages, a defensive shooter running regular checks, or someone who just wants better ergonomics at the bench, a properly executed slide lock makes the whole process faster and smoother.
Rival Arms built this part using CNC machining from a stainless steel billet, meaning it's precision-formed rather than stamped or molded. That manufacturing approach, combined with the QPQ (Quench-Polish-Quench) thermo-chemical hardening, delivers a part that resists the wear, corrosion, and chipping that can plague factory slides locks over years of use—especially in harsh environments or high-round-count firearms. The nitride finish adds genuine durability without changing the basic form factor, so installation requires no gunsmith and no modifications to your frame or slide.
This part fits Glock Generation 3 and Generation 4 models across the full lineup, with the exception of the Glock 36, 42, and 43. If you run one of the mainstream Glock service pistols or carry guns in Gen 3 or Gen 4 configuration, this is a direct replacement that you can swap in yourself in under a minute.
