The Retay Gordion Extra Black is a 28-inch semi-auto shotgun built for shooters who want a dependable, modern platform without unnecessary complexity. Available as the Model GORBLK28 in 12-gauge with 3-inch chamber capability, this inertia-powered shotgun delivers the reliability that matters when you're on the range, in the field, or running drills. The matte black finish won't turn heads in your safe, but the engineering underneath will earn your confidence—especially if you're transitioning from pump guns and want the soft recoil management that a quality semi-auto provides.

The Gordion's inertia system is straightforward: lighter parts, fewer moving components, and less maintenance than gas-operated competitors. That philosophy extends to the trigger guard, oversized for faster transitions even with gloves, and the red TruGlo front sight, which cuts through gloom better than standard beads. Load, unload, and transition controls are positioned for instinctive access—no fumbling between shots. The included hard case keeps your investment protected during transport, and the FIMMICS choke system gives you flexibility to dial in your shot pattern for clay, waterfowl, or hunting scenarios.

Whether you're a competitive shooter exploring semi-auto action, a hunter stepping up from a pump, or someone who appreciates over-engineered simplicity, the Gordion Extra Black bridges affordability and function. It's not a race gun, and it's not a safe queen—it's a workable shotgun that gets the job done without demanding constant attention or premium pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What 12-gauge ammunition will this shotgun handle?

The Gordion Extra Black's 3-inch chamber accepts standard 2¾-inch loads and 3-inch magnum loads. The inertia system is tuned to cycle both safely, though you may need to adjust chokes or load type if you run exclusively light target loads on the lower end.

What chokes come with the Gordion Extra Black?

The shotgun includes FIMMICS chokes, which allow you to swap constriction patterns to match your intended use—tighter for distance, more open for close work or clay targets.

Is this shotgun good for hunting?

Yes. The 28-inch barrel, 3-inch chamber, and adjustable choke system make it suitable for waterfowl, upland birds, and light hunting scenarios. The quick-handling controls and semi-auto reliability appeal to hunters looking to upgrade from pump-action guns.

What's included in the box?

The shotgun ships in a hard case with FIMMICS chokes installed. Additional factory accessories or manuals depend on the specific package—check your documentation upon delivery.
