The Reptilia AUS Offset Mount for ACRO is a purpose-built secondary optic mount designed to integrate with Aimpoint ACRO and Steiner Optics MPS red dot sights on modern rifle builds. Part of Reptilia's AUS Mount System, this offset mount positions your miniature red dot for rapid target acquisition without requiring a full sight change—a solid backup for shooters running primary magnified optics or as a stand-alone close-quarters solution on dedicated defensive or competition rifles.

What sets this mount apart is its reversible design. The integrated mounting locations on the AUS Mount body let you flip the offset to either your left or right side, making it adaptable for different rifle configurations and shooter preferences without buying multiple parts. At 37 degrees from vertical, the offset angle gives you a clear sightline alongside your primary optic or handguard-mounted accessories. Built from Type III hardcoat anodized 7075 aluminum paired with nitrided 4140 steel components, it's engineered to handle hard use and hold zero through thousands of rounds.

Reptilia manufactures this mount in the USA, and compatibility extends beyond just ACRO and MPS—any miniature red dot that uses the ACRO footprint will work. That flexibility means you're not locked into one brand or model if you ever need to swap optics down the line. The offset mount mounts via the AUS Mount body's four dedicated points, so you'll need the AUS Mount base as your foundation, not just this offset piece alone.

Whether you're building a duty rifle, setting up a three-gun workhorse, or running a home-defense platform with redundancy in mind, this offset mount is the kind of accessory that works best when you're already committed to the AUS system and need that secondary aiming option positioned right where you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What red dot sights does the Reptilia AUS Offset Mount fit?

The mount is specifically designed for Aimpoint ACRO and Steiner Optics MPS enclosed miniature red dots. It also accommodates any other MRDS that uses the ACRO footprint, giving you flexibility if you swap optics in the future.

Can I use this mount on the left or right side of my rifle?

Yes. The mount is reversible and mounts via four dedicated locations on the AUS Mount body itself, so you can position it on either side depending on your rifle setup and dominant hand.

Do I need a separate AUS Mount base to use this offset mount?

Yes, the AUS Offset Mount integrates with the AUS Mount System via the AUS Mount body. You'll need the AUS Mount as your primary mounting solution; this offset piece is the secondary aiming component.

What's the offset angle, and will it work with my handguard?

The mount positions at 37 degrees from vertical. That angle is designed to give you a clear sightline for your red dot without interference from typical rifle handguard geometry, but fit depends on your specific handguard profile and accessories—verify clearance with your setup.
