The Remington Golden Saber Bonded in 9mm Luger 147gr is a proven defensive handgun round that bridges the gap between law enforcement-grade performance and public availability. Originally developed exclusively for professional use, this bonded-bullet design delivers the reliability and terminal consistency that serious shooters depend on for self-defense. The 147-grain bullet weight in 9mm offers a balanced combination of velocity, recoil management, and energy transfer—making it a practical choice for defensive carry and training.

What sets Golden Saber Bonded apart is its manufacturing process. The lead core is hot-bonded directly to the brass jacket, creating a round that resists fragmentation and maintains bullet integrity through barriers. That bond also means reduced nose diameter for precise chamber alignment and match-grade accuracy—you're not just getting a defensive load, you're getting one that shoots tight. This design philosophy requires less energy to achieve expansion, so the round performs consistently across a wider range of barriers and obstacles than conventional hollow-points.

These rounds are loaded in the USA and come in boxes of 20. Whether you're setting up a carry gun, running defensive drills at the range, or maintaining a home-defense setup, Golden Saber Bonded delivers the stopping performance and predictability that shouldn't be left to chance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Golden Saber Bonded suitable for carry and self-defense?

Yes. Golden Saber Bonded was originally developed as law enforcement ammunition and is purpose-built for defensive use. The bonded construction and optimized expansion design make it reliable for self-defense scenarios.

What does "bonded" mean and why does it matter?

Bonding fuses the lead core to the brass jacket through a hot-bonding process. This keeps the bullet together during expansion and penetration, ensuring consistent performance and better weight retention than non-bonded hollow-points.

Will this round work in my 9mm handgun?

Golden Saber Bonded is chambered in 9mm Luger, the standard 9mm cartridge used in most modern 9mm handguns. Always verify your firearm's chambering before loading any ammunition.

How many rounds are in a box?
