The Remington 12" Handgun Gun Sack is a lightweight, packable alternative to rigid cases when you need quick protection without the weight. Built from silicone-treated polyester, this drawstring sack shields your pistol from moisture, dust, and minor bumps during transport or storage. It's the kind of practical gear that lives in your range bag, truck, or go-box—always there when you need a layer of corrosion resistance that doesn't demand dedicated case space.

Designed specifically for handguns, the 12-inch length accommodates most service pistols and revolvers. The silicone treatment resists moisture and helps prevent rust and oxidation on metal parts, making it especially useful in humid conditions or after a day on the water. The drawstring closure keeps your firearm secure and contained without the bulk of a traditional hard case.

Whether you're storing a gun for the season, throwing a pistol in your pack for a camping trip, or keeping a spare piece protected in your vehicle, this sack delivers no-fuss protection at a fraction of the weight and footprint of a full case. It's the kind of simple, effective gear that experienced shooters keep on hand for exactly these situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size handgun will fit in this sack?

The 12-inch length accommodates standard handguns and revolvers. While specific firearms vary, this size works well for common service and compact pistols, though you should verify your specific model fits comfortably before relying on it for transport.

Does this provide waterproof protection?

The silicone-treated polyester is moisture-resistant and helps protect against corrosion from humidity and light exposure to water. It's not a fully waterproof case, but it's designed to shed moisture and shield your firearm from the elements during normal use and storage.

What's the difference between this sack and a hard case?

This gun sack prioritizes packability and weight over rigid protection. It's ideal for storage, quick transport, and layering inside packs or bags, whereas a hard case offers impact protection and TSA compliance for air travel. Many shooters keep both—a sack for convenience and a hard case for serious travel.

Can I use this for long-term firearm storage?

Yes. The silicone-treated material helps prevent rust and oxidation, making it suitable for storing a pistol over time. For best results, ensure the firearm is clean and dry before placing it in the sack, and store the sack in a dry location.
