The Remington 783 .30-06 Springfield bolt-action rifle brings genuine custom-grade accuracy within reach of working hunters and sport shooters who demand reliability without the premium price tag. Built on Remington's half-century of bolt-action refinement, the 783 redesigns the platform from the ground up with a suite of accuracy-focused features. This 22-inch barrel model in matte black synthetic delivers the versatility of .30-06 Springfield—one of the most respected hunting cartridges—in a trim, manageable package that handles everything from whitetail to elk at practical hunting distances.

What sets the 783 apart is its dual pillar bedded synthetic stock, engineered to free-float the barrel for shot-to-shot consistency. The high-nylon-fiber stock construction provides the strength and rigidity hunters need for reliable field performance, while the precision button-rifled carbon steel barrel ensures the accuracy foundation the platform promises. The crisp, user-adjustable CrossFire trigger system lets you dial in the break weight that suits your hunting style—whether you prefer a hair-trigger for target work or a slightly heavier pull for field safety. At 7.5 pounds and 41⅝ inches overall, it's balanced for both bench work and backcountry carry.

The detachable steel magazine holds four rounds of .30-06, and the steel latch mechanism is built for years of hard use. The 13⅜-inch length of pull and proportioned comb and heel drops accommodate most shooters off the shelf. Whether you're sighting in at the range or heading to your favorite hunting ground, the 783 delivers the accuracy you'd expect from a rifle costing significantly more—without requiring a mortgage payment.
