Remington
The Remington 700 CDL in 7mm PRC is a bolt-action rifle built on one of the most proven actions in shooting sports. The Model 700 platform has earned its reputation through decades of real-world accuracy and reliability in the field and at the range, and the CDL variant combines that proven design with refined aesthetics and practical features that appeal to hunters and precision shooters alike. The 26" barrel is a solid choice for the 7mm PRC, a modern long-range cartridge known for excellent ballistic efficiency and flat trajectory—this rifle pairs that capability with the mechanical precision the 700 action is known for.
The CDL's satin-finished walnut stock and blued carbon steel barrel and action give it a classic, understated look that works in any hunting situation. This isn't a tacticool platform; it's a rifle designed for hunters who appreciate traditional rifle aesthetics and functional reliability. The Supercell recoil pad helps manage recoil without adding bulk, and the hinged floor-plate keeps things simple and field-serviceable. Stock furniture includes sling studs for quick attachment of a hunting sling, and the receiver is already drilled and tapped for scope mounting—you can have glass on this rifle and be ready to hunt without unnecessary gunsmithing.
Under the hood, you're getting the engineering that made the 700 a standard-bearer: a solid-steel receiver machined from bar stock, a cylindrical receiver design that beds firmly and consistently in the stock, and a three-rings-of-steel lockup (recessed bolt face counter-bored into the breech, surrounded by the receiver) that encloses the cartridge case head for maximum strength and safety. The integral extractor is grooved to uniformly support the cartridge rim. The factory Timney Impact 700 trigger comes already fitted and tuned. All of this is to say: you're buying a rifle engineered for accuracy and durability, not marketing.
If you're a hunter or long-range shooter looking for a rifle with a proven action, classic lines, and the inherent accuracy of a purpose-built 7mm PRC platform, the 700 CDL is worth a serious look.

The 7mm PRC is a modern long-range cartridge known for excellent ballistic efficiency, high velocity, and flat trajectory. It's a practical choice for hunters and shooters pursuing longer-range accuracy without excessive recoil or powder consumption. The 26" barrel on this CDL is well-suited to that performance envelope.
Yes. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. You'll need to purchase a mount separately, but the rifle requires no gunsmithing to accept one.
The three-rings-of-steel lockup—formed by the recessed bolt face, counter-bored breech, and surrounding receiver—creates a mechanical design that fully encloses the cartridge case head from three angles. This provides maximum strength and safety during firing, one of the hallmarks of the 700 action.
The rifle includes sling studs for quick attachment of a sling, but the sling itself is sold separately.
