The Remington 700 in 7mm Remington Magnum is a bolt-action rifle built for hunters and shooters who need a flat-shooting, hard-hitting round that reaches out across open country. This 24-inch-barrel model combines Remington's legendary 700 platform with modern refinements designed to simplify maintenance, improve accuracy, and deliver the performance demanded by serious hunters tackling elk, moose, and long-range game.

At its core sits a round receiver paired with a 5R barrel whose rifling and precision-ground recoil lugs are engineered to maximize consistency with modern ammunition loads. The one-piece spiral-fluted bolt body reduces weight while maintaining rigidity, and the tool-less firing pin design means you can strip and clean the action in the field without extra gear—a feature that matters when you're miles from the truck. The 11-degree target crown protects the muzzle from dings that degrade accuracy, and an enlarged ejection port keeps empties clearing reliably, even in cold weather or when shooting fast.

The trigger is a 3-pound Elite Hunter Timney straight trigger, crisp and predictable for precise shot placement. The rifle wears an AG composite carbon fiber stock that handles weather and temperature swings better than wood, paired with a Pachmayr recoil pad to soften the 7mm Magnum's substantial kick. An aluminum Oberndorf-style trigger guard and left-side bolt release round out the handling. Scope mounting is straightforward via the Picatinny rail and 8-40 threads, and the longer internal magazine accommodates the 7mm Magnum's longer case without compromise.

This is a serious long-range hunting rifle—not a lightweight mountain gun, but a solid, accurate platform that shooters and hunters trust to perform when the shot counts.
