Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding 73 Style Steel Bushing in .269" diameter is a precision neck-sizing component built for reloaders who demand consistency and durability in their handloading setup. This heat-treated steel bushing is part of Redding's extensive line of neck-sizing bushings, engineered to work with the popular Redding 73 die system. Whether you're loading rifle ammunition for hunting, competition, or precision range work, a properly sized bushing is essential for achieving uniform neck tension and reliable case-to-chamber fit.
Redding's bushings are manufactured with hand-polished sizing diameters and a surface hardness of Rc 60–62, which reduces the force needed during the sizing stroke while maintaining accuracy shot after shot. The .269" diameter fits cartridges in that neck range; Redding manufactures bushings in .001" increments across the spectrum from .185" to .368", so if your load requires a different diameter, alternatives are readily available. The heat-treated steel construction ensures long-term reliability and resistance to wear, even in high-volume reloading operations.
Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with the Redding 73 die system. The bushing simply threads into the die body, making it easy to swap sizes if you reload multiple cartridges or need to fine-tune neck tension for different powders or primers. Reloaders appreciate Redding components for their attention to detail and the measurable improvement in case life and accuracy that comes from proper neck sizing.
| Product | Redding 73 Style Steel Bushing |
| Bushing Diameter | .269" |
| Material | Heat-treated steel |
| Surface Hardness | Rc 60–62 |
| Die Compatibility | Redding 73 style dies |
The .269" bushing is designed for cartridges with that nominal neck diameter. Consult your reloading manual or measure your fired cases to confirm the correct bushing size for your specific cartridge.
This bushing is designed for use with Redding 73 style dies. Verify your die model before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
Redding manufactures bushings in .001" increments ranging from .185" to .368" in diameter. Other sizes are available separately if your load requires a different neck-sizing diameter.
The hand-polished steel with that hardness specification reduces the force required to size cases while resisting wear from repeated use, making the sizing process smoother and extending component life.
