Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding 6.5x55mm Swede bullet seating die is a precision reloading tool built for shooters who demand consistency in every round. If you're handloading for the classic Swedish Mauser or any modern rifle chambered in this cartridge, a quality seating die is where you'll find the biggest gains in accuracy and reliability. Redding's seating dies are engineered with the same attention to detail you'd expect from a premium reloading equipment maker—tight tolerances, smooth operation, and repeatable results.
What sets this die apart is the micrometer-adjustable mechanism that lets you dial in seating depth with extreme precision. Instead of relying on a simple click mechanism that can feel coarse, the micrometer operates in infinitely variable increments of .001" so you can dial in exactly the seating depth your load demands. The sliding chamber design is engineered for smooth, consistent performance shot after shot. Once you've dialed in your preferred seating depth, you can zero the micrometer to that position, making it fast and easy to replicate the same setup next time you reload the same ammunition.
Whether you're fine-tuning loads for a long-range competition rifle or working up hunting ammunition, this die gives you the adjustability and repeatability that separates handloaded ammo from factory rounds. The 7/8-14 thread pattern is standard for most single-stage and progressive reloading presses.
| Caliber | 6.5x55mm Swede |
| Type | Bullet Seating Die |
| Thread Size | 7/8-14 |
| Adjustment | Micrometer (infinitely variable) |
| Increment | .001" |
| Brand | Redding |
This die has a 7/8-14 thread pattern, which is the standard thread size for most single-stage and progressive reloading presses. Verify your press accepts standard dies before purchasing.
The zero-set feature allows you to calibrate the micrometer to your preferred seating depth, so you can dial back to that same setting on future reloading sessions without having to recalibrate from scratch.
The micrometer is calibrated in .001" increments and is infinitely adjustable, meaning you can dial in any seating depth within the die's range without being limited to fixed click stops.
Yes. The precision micrometer adjustment and smooth sliding chamber design make this die well-suited for shooters developing loads for accuracy-demanding applications, though results ultimately depend on your entire reloading process and rifle setup.
