Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding 300 AAC Blackout bullet seating die is a precision reloading tool built for rifle handloaders who demand consistency in their ammunition. Designed for the popular subsonic and supersonic 300 AAC Blackout cartridge, this 7/8-14 die delivers repeatable seating depth shot after shot—critical when you're working up loads for a modern, efficient intermediate cartridge.
What sets this seating die apart is its micrometer-adjustable design. Rather than relying on click detents that can feel imprecise or sticky, the micrometer features infinitely smooth adjustment calibrated in .001" increments. This level of control matters: even a few thousandths of variance in bullet seating depth can shift your groups or change pressure curves. The sliding chamber action is engineered to move without binding, so you get the same feel and feedback every single round.
The zero set feature is particularly useful if you've found your ideal seating depth. Once dialed in, you can zero the micrometer to that depth and instantly return to it if you need to adjust for a different bullet style or ogive length. That saves time when you're testing loads or swapping between different projectiles—you're not starting from scratch each time.
Serious 300 BLK reloaders appreciate precision in this step of the process. Whether you're building subsonic loads for suppressed shooting or supersonic rounds for velocity, a repeatable seating die ensures your ammunition performs the same way every time you pull the trigger.
| Cartridge | 300 AAC Blackout |
| Die Thread | 7/8-14 |
| Type | Bullet Seating Die |
| Adjustment Increment | .001" |
| Adjustment Type | Micrometer (infinitely adjustable) |
The Redding 300 AAC Blackout seating die uses a standard 7/8-14 thread, which fits any modern single-stage or progressive reloading press with that thread size—including RCBS, Hornady, Dillon, and similar equipment.
Yes. The die seats any bullet loaded for the 300 AAC Blackout cartridge. Your powder charge and bullet weight determine subsonic versus supersonic velocity; the seating die itself is caliber-specific but not velocity-specific.
Once you dial in your preferred seating depth using the micrometer, the zero set feature allows you to mark or remember that position. If you adjust away from it to test a different load, you can quickly return to that exact depth without having to measure and recalibrate.
The Redding 300 AAC Blackout seating die is available for individual purchase. Redding also offers complete die sets for this cartridge if you need a full reloading setup.
