Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding #23 Standard Bullet Seating Micrometer lets you dial in bullet seating depth with precision that separates consistent handloads from guesswork. If you're loading ammunition that demands tight tolerances—whether for competition, long-range hunting, or just the satisfaction of genuinely repeatable accuracy—this micrometer attachment converts your standard seating die into a tool capable of holding seating depth to within 1/1000th of an inch. It's the kind of upgrade that doesn't add much to your bench but can tighten your groups and build confidence in your loads.
The #23 is designed for seating dies using a ½-20 thread seat plug, and swaps between dies easily once you've identified the correct micrometer number for your setup. Rather than eyeballing or relying on the coarse adjustments built into a conventional seating die, the micrometer gives you the fine control that precision reloading demands. You match the number on your current seating plug to the corresponding Redding micrometer—it's that straightforward—and you're ready to dial in depths that you can actually repeat from round to round.
This is not a flashy upgrade, but it's exactly the kind of tool that serious handloaders reach for when they're tired of chasing run-out or inconsistent bullet seating. Whether you're working up loads for a match rifle, a hunting round, or ammunition you simply want to be confident in, the ability to measure and control seating depth to a thousandth of an inch changes how you think about the consistency of your ammunition.
