RCBS
The RCBS X Die Full Length Set for 7mm Rem Mag is a precision reloading die set built around a mandrel-based design that streamlines case preparation and improves consistency across your 7mm Magnum handloads. Unlike conventional full-length sizing dies, the X Die's integrated mandrel contacts the case mouth during sizing to control neck growth and eliminate the need for separate case-trimming steps after your initial trim. This means less time at the bench and more uniform case dimensions shot to shot.
The mandrel's close tolerance fit to the case neck prevents the thickening of neck walls that occurs with traditional sizing methods, which translates to better bullet seating and improved ammunition consistency. If you're already trimming to length on first prep, the X Die takes the redundant work out of subsequent reloading cycles—your cases stay properly sized without requiring additional trimming operations. That's a real time-saver when you're processing volume for a magnum cartridge like 7mm Rem Mag.
RCBS die sets are manufactured to exacting tolerances and are a trusted choice for handloaders who want reliable, repeatable results. Whether you're loading match-grade ammunition for a precision rifle or preparing hunting rounds for your magnum, a full-length die set is essential gear. The X Die's mandrel system makes it a smart choice if you want to reduce prep time without sacrificing case quality.

The RCBS X Die Full Length Set includes the X Die (with integrated mandrel) and other necessary components for full-length sizing and preparing 7mm Rem Mag brass. Check the product packaging or contact us for the complete list of included dies and tools.
After you trim a case to length initially, the mandrel in the X Die contacts the case mouth during sizing and controls how much the neck grows back. This eliminates the need to trim again on subsequent reloading cycles, so you skip a step that conventional dies require.
RCBS die sets are designed to work with standard reloading presses, but compatibility depends on your specific press model and setup. We recommend confirming your press type before ordering or contacting us with details about your equipment.
The X Die's mandrel system reduces neck growth and prevents neck wall thickening that can occur with traditional sizing, which means more consistent case dimensions and less prep work between reloading sessions. For shooters who reload the same brass multiple times, that's a meaningful advantage.
