RCBS
The RCBS Lube-A-Matic (LAM) Heater is a temperature control accessory designed for shooters and reloaders who cast their own bullets. If you're running a Lube-A-Matic bullet sizer—or a compatible SAECO, Lyman, or other lead bullet sizing tool—this heater keeps your bullet lube at the precise temperature needed for smooth, even application. Modern high-temperature lubes can be finicky; too cold and they flow poorly, too hot and you end up with sloppy, inconsistent coverage. This heater eliminates guesswork.
Mounted directly to your sizer, the RCBS LAM Heater uses a rheostat control to dial in exactly the heat you need. Casting with a stiffer lube formula? Turn it up. Using a thinner blend? Back it off. The adjustment is continuous and intuitive—no preset temperatures, just real-time control that matches your specific lube and casting conditions. Because every alloy and lube combination behaves a little differently, that flexibility is worth its weight in lead.
Setup is straightforward: the heater is drilled and tapped for direct mounting to LAM sizers and compatible alternatives, and it plugs into a standard 110/120 volt US or Canadian household outlet. No special wiring, no fuss. For reloaders who take their bullet casting seriously and want consistent, professional results, this is a practical upgrade that turns a manual process into a controlled one.
| Voltage | 20 VAC (110/120 volt US/Canadian outlets) |
| Control Type | Rheostat (variable temperature adjustment) |
| Compatible Sizers | RCBS LAM, SAECO, Lyman, and other lead bullet sizers |
| Mounting | Drilled and tapped for direct attachment |
Yes. The RCBS LAM Heater is drilled and tapped for mounting to RCBS Lube-A-Matic sizers as well as SAECO, Lyman, and other compatible lead bullet sizers. Check your sizer's mounting surface to confirm compatibility.
The heater features a rheostat control that lets you dial the temperature up or down continuously. There are no preset settings—you adjust it based on how your specific lube is flowing and the consistency you want in your bullet coating.
The RCBS LAM Heater is designed for standard 110/120 volt outlets in the US and Canada. It's rated for 20 VAC operation.
The heater is designed for modern, high-temperature bullet lubes. It works with whatever lube you're using—you simply adjust the temperature to match that lube's optimal flow characteristics.
