RCBS
If you're loading .50 BMG ammunition, the RCBS AmmoMaster .50 BMG ram priming unit is the dedicated solution for fast, consistent primer seating on those massive cartridge cases. This is a precision accessory built to work with the RCBS AmmoMaster press—it transforms case priming from a tedious hand operation into a streamlined, press-mounted process that handles the oversized .50 BMG geometry you're working with.
The .50 BMG cartridge presents unique reloading challenges: the cases are large, the primers demand proper seating pressure, and manual priming tools become impractical at scale. This ram priming unit integrates directly into your AmmoMaster press, positioning your .50 BMG cases in the shellholder at the top of the press and using the press stroke to seat primers quickly and uniformly. For serious .50 BMG shooters—whether you're handloading for a Barrett, McMillan, or other long-range platform—this accessory cuts priming time per round dramatically and removes the guesswork from primer depth.
Compatibility is critical with specialized tooling like this. Before ordering, confirm you own an RCBS AmmoMaster press; this unit is designed specifically for that platform and won't work with other presses. If you're new to .50 BMG reloading or are upgrading from single-stage or turret presses, this priming unit pairs with the AmmoMaster's automation to handle primer logistics so you can focus on powder and bullet consistency—the variables that really matter for precision rifle work.
The RCBS AmmoMaster .50 BMG ram priming unit is designed to work with the RCBS AmmoMaster press only. It will not fit or function with other press models.
No. This unit is specifically engineered for .50 BMG cases and geometry. Other calibers require different priming tools or accessories.
The supplier states cases can be primed in a matter of seconds using this unit, but exact timing depends on your press setup and technique. Hand priming .50 BMG cases is considerably slower and more labor-intensive.
