RCBS
Loading .45-110-2 7/8 Sharps ammo demands the right tools, and the RCBS 3 Die Roll Crimp Set for Legacy calibers is built specifically for shooters working with historic black powder cartridges and their modern reproductions. This three-die set handles the full sizing, expansion, and seating cycle for straight-wall cases—the kind you'll encounter in original Sharps rifles and quality reproductions that have gained a devoted following among black powder enthusiasts and historical reenactors.
The set includes a steel Sizer Die that brings cases to proper dimensions and removes spent primers in one step (you'll need to lubricate cases before sizing). The Expander Die then opens the case mouth to the correct diameter for bullet seating and applies the flare or bell needed for reliable feeding. Finally, the Seater Die does the critical work of seating your bullet and applying a roll crimp—essential for straight-wall cartridges where the crimp keeps the bullet secure through the recoil and handling demands of black powder shooting.
RCBS designed the Legacy series to keep these classic cartridges alive and loaded right. Whether you're working with original guns or well-made modern builds, this die set respects the traditional process while delivering the precision that separates careful handloading from guesswork. Straight-wall black powder loads demand attention to detail, and RCBS gives you the hardware to do it properly.
