Luhr Jensen Baits
The Rapala Ott Garage Rocco 05 in Chartreuse Rootbeer Crawdad is a diving crankbait born from professional angler Ott DeFoe's hands-on lure development. Built with buoyant balsa construction, this hard bait delivers the castability and action that work in real fishing situations—whether you're probing shallow structure or covering water on the hunt for bass, pike, or other predators that eat crawdads.
What makes the Rocco 05 stand out is its design philosophy: a square-lipped circuit board design paired with medium rolling action that feels natural and triggering to fish. The buoyant balsa core means this bait naturally wants to rise, which helps it deflect off wood, rocks, and other cover rather than hanging up. When you need to back out of a sticky situation or change depth mid-retrieve, that buoyancy works in your favor—no dead weight to fight.
The Chartreuse Rootbeer Crawdad finish is a proven color pattern that mimics natural forage in many waters. Whether you're fishing clear reservoirs, murky rivers, or stained lakes, this finish presents a profile and contrast that bass and pike recognize as a meal. The compact 05 size gives you versatility: small enough for finesse presentations and pressured fish, substantial enough to cast cleanly and maintain consistent action across retrieve speeds.

The crawdad finish is a natural forage pattern effective on bass, pike, and other predatory fish that feed on crayfish. The chartreuse and rootbeer contrast works well in both clear and stained water, giving fish a visible profile they recognize as food.
The buoyant balsa construction naturally helps the Rocco 05 deflect off cover rather than wedging into it. If you snag, the buoyancy works to back the bait out of sticky situations instead of staying pinned.
The Rocco 05 is designed for high castability, meaning it flies straight and distances well for a compact crankbait. You can make accurate presentations to specific targets and cover water efficiently.
The square circuit board lip paired with buoyant balsa creates a medium rolling action—responsive enough to feel connected to the bait but not so erratic that it spooks fish in pressured situations.
