Rapala
The Rapala DT Series 6' 3/8 2" Blue Back Herring is a premium balsa crankbait built to reach deep water fast and stay hunting in the strike zone longer than conventional diving plugs. Constructed from hand-selected balsa wood in the top seven percent of quality, this lure combines precise internal weight placement with a tapered body design and thin tail to produce the hunting wobble that balsa excels at—and that catches fish. If you fish deep structure, submerged timber, or need to work a bait down quickly in current, the DT's aggressive dive characteristics and long-casting distance make it a proven tool for covering water efficiently.
The lure's thin polycarbonate lip digs hard into the water column, pulling the bait to depth on the initial cast so it spends more time where bass, pike, walleye, and other predators hunt. A quick-dive, nose-down rest position means the bait reaches working depth immediately—no wasted cast. The DT can achieve casting distances over 150 feet, extending your effective coverage and the amount of bottom and structure your bait explores on every retrieve. An internal baritone rattle adds acoustic attraction; the sound is tuned for natural performance that triggers strikes without oversounding the lure.
The Blue Back Herring finish replicates a classic forage species with lifelike appeal. The bait arrives with premium VMC black nickel hooks and has been individually hand-tuned and tank-tested to swim true out of the box—no adjustments needed. This is a working crankbait for anglers who want depth, distance, and reliable action on every cast.
