Pro-Shot
The Pro-Shot Patriot Nylon Shotgun Bore Brush is a straightforward cleaning tool built for 12-gauge shotgun maintenance. Fitted with a 5/16x27 thread, it screws directly onto standard shotgun cleaning rods, making it a no-fuss addition to any shotgun cleaning kit. The nylon bristles won't damage the bore while still being effective at breaking up carbon, lead, and powder fouling—a practical balance that matters when you're maintaining a gun that sees regular use.
Whether you're running a tactical shotgun, a hunting gun, or a sport shooter's over-and-under, keeping the bore clean extends the life of the gun and supports reliable function. This brush handles that job without the aggression of steel or brass bristles, which can leave marks if you're not careful. The brass core provides structural integrity while the nylon bristles do the work.
It's the kind of no-nonsense tool you'd expect from Pro-Shot—designed to work, not to impress. If you're already set up with a 5/16x27 compatible rod, this brush integrates seamlessly into your routine. For shooters who prefer gentler bore maintenance or want to avoid any risk of bristle damage, a nylon shotgun bore brush is a sensible choice.

Yes. The nylon bristles are gentle on the bore and effective at removing fouling from powder, lead, and carbon buildup. Many shooters prefer nylon for routine maintenance because it reduces the risk of accidental bore damage.
Nylon bristles are softer and gentler on the bore, while brass bristles are more aggressive. For regular cleaning, nylon is a safe choice; brass may be preferred for heavy fouling or stubborn deposits, but nylon is less likely to leave marks.
