Pro-Shot
Keeping a 12 gauge shotgun clean starts with the right bore brush. The Pro-Shot 12 Gauge Tornado Bore Brush is a brass spiral-wound cleaning tool designed to scrub out carbon, fouling, and powder residue from your shotgun barrel. Built with a 5/16-27 thread connection, it fits standard shotgun cleaning rod kits and patches. Whether you're maintaining a hunting gun, clay target shotgun, or home defense firearm, a quality bore brush is essential to keep your barrel in top condition and maintain accuracy between range sessions.
The brass spiral design provides effective scrubbing action that breaks up stubborn deposits without damaging the steel bore. Pro-Shot has been trusted by shooters for decades to deliver reliable, no-nonsense cleaning equipment. This brush is the kind of straightforward tool that belongs in every gun owner's cleaning kit—nothing fancy, just proven performance that gets the job done right.
Shot shells throw a lot of buildup into a 12 gauge barrel, especially if you shoot frequently or use varied ammunition. A dedicated shotgun bore brush handles that punishment better than a one-size-fits-all brush. Keep one on hand for routine maintenance between outings, or grab a fresh one if your current brush is worn out. This is the kind of consumable that you'll use up over time, so having spares around is never a bad idea.

Yes, if your rod uses a 5/16-27 thread connection—the standard for shotgun cleaning kits. Check your existing rod's thread size before ordering to confirm compatibility.
No. This brush is sized specifically for 12 gauge bores. Using it in a different gauge could cause ineffective cleaning or potential damage.
This brush works with any 12 gauge shotgun—hunting shotguns, pump guns, semi-autos, over-and-unders, side-by-sides, tactical shotguns—as long as your cleaning rod accepts a 5/16-27 thread attachment.
Brushes wear out with use. If the spiral bristles become loose, flattened, or damaged, it's time for a fresh one. Keep a spare on hand so you're never without a working brush.
