Primos
The Primos PS1246 Hook Hunter Double Reed Turkey Call is a diaphragm-style mouth call built for hunters who want authentic tom responses without the learning curve. Using a long diaphragm design with two latex reeds, this black call delivers the raspy, aggressive pitches that cut through spring woods and trigger committed gobblers. Whether you're working a roosted bird at fly-down or answering a distant shock gobble, the Hook Hunter gives you control over volume and tone to match the situation.
Primos designed the Hook Hunter by combining over a century of collective turkey hunting experience with precision reed engineering and hand-cut construction. That heritage shows in how quickly hunters of all skill levels can produce convincing yelps and cuts. The call's reputation rests on producing pitches that sound so natural, even educated turkeys respond confidently.
A diaphragm call leaves both hands free for the shotgun, making it the standard choice for serious spring turkey hunters. The PS1246's long design and dual-reed configuration give you options: crank out loud, raspy yelps to locate birds or work closer with subtler tones when you've got a tom's attention. The black finish is functional and discreet in the field.
The Primos PS1246 is a diaphragm mouth call, designed to be placed against the roof of your mouth. It uses two latex reeds to produce hen and tom vocalizations without requiring your hands, leaving you ready to shoulder your shotgun.
The Hook Hunter produces raspy yelps, loud cuts, and effective fly-down calls. The dual-reed design gives you the range to sound like either a hen or a gobbler, depending on the pressure and technique you apply.
Yes. While diaphragm calls do require practice to master, Primos designed the Hook Hunter specifically for ease of use. Many hunters find they can produce convincing calls with minimal experience, though like any mouth call, consistent practice improves results.
