Primos
The Primos 829 Feedin' Mallard Shaker Call is a mechanical duck call designed to add realism and motion to your mallard spread. Unlike traditional lip-operated calls that require embouchure technique, this shaker call lets you produce authentic feeding chuckles and contentment sounds with simple hand movements—no special breath control or years of practice needed. Drop it into your layout blind or boat and work it to mimic a flock of feeding mallards, layering that natural sound on top of your primary duck call to build a convincing scenario that pulls birds from a distance.
The heart of this call's effectiveness is its specialized bell design and tuning hole engineered to produce multiple mallard vocalizations in a single shake. Pair it with your favorite duck call—whether you're a polished caller or just getting started—and you'll sound like an entire raft of ducks peacefully feeding. That combination of movement, multiple voice layers, and ease of operation is what separates a convincing spread from a one-note presentation.
Built from durable black plastic and rated freezeproof, the Feedin' Mallard holds up to early-season mud, late-season ice, and everything in between. It's loud enough to reach birds at distance and compact enough to fit in a blind bag or coat pocket. Whether you're hunting shallow timber, sand flats, or traditional ponds, this call removes the barrier to sounding natural and gives you another tool to seal the deal on wary mallards.
No. This is a shaker call—you operate it with simple hand movements to create feeding sounds. There's no learning curve for breath control or lip position like with traditional duck calls. Anyone can pick it up and immediately produce realistic mallard vocalizations.
It's designed to layer effectively with your favorite duck call. When combined with a primary call, it creates the impression of a flock of mallards, making your spread sound more natural and complete. You can also use it alone for added motion and sound in your setup.
Yes. The call is built from freezeproof plastic, so it withstands ice, mud, and cold water exposure without cracking or losing its voice. It's designed for reliable performance throughout the season.
