Turkey hunting requires precision beyond just pulling the trigger—you need to understand exactly where your shotgun pattern lands and what zone actually stops a gobbler. The Primos 6041 Patterning Turkey Hanging Paper Targets give you the real-world intelligence to dial in your turkey gun before you hit the field. This 12-pack of 10.75" × 11.50" targets features an actual X-ray image of a turkey's head overlaid with aiming guidance, showing you the most lethal shot placement and how your pellet spread performs at distance. Instead of guessing at head aim, these targets teach you to focus on the neck—the zone where a full pattern delivers the most reliable, ethical kills. The bright orange bull's-eye makes impact easy to see downrange.

Patterning your turkey shotgun isn't optional—it's the foundation of clean, consistent harvests. Every gun-and-load combo shoots differently, and these targets let you see exactly where your pellets group and whether you're actually hitting the vitals. Whether you're running a 20-gauge with tight chokes or a 12-gauge with exotic loads, running a box of these before season opens takes the guesswork out of your setup. The X-ray overlay removes the ambiguity of traditional round targets and shows actual turkey anatomy, so you're not practicing bad habits at the range.

At 12 targets per pack, you've got enough to test multiple loads, distances, or gun-and-choke combinations without rationing paper. Hang them on a backstop, pattern from your expected hunting distance, and adjust your aim point or load until you're grouping where it counts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best aiming point when patterning with these targets?

According to the target design, the proper point of aim is at the middle of the neck—not the head. This ensures your entire shot pattern covers the most effective kill zone on a turkey, rather than having half your pellets pass above the bird.

How many targets do I get in a pack?

The 12-pack gives you a dozen targets, providing enough paper to test different loads, choke combinations, or distances without running short.

What makes these targets different from standard patterning paper?

These targets include an actual X-ray image of a turkey's head, showing real anatomy and the most lethal shot placement zones. This takes the guesswork out of interpreting your pattern and teaches you where to aim for ethical, reliable kills.

What shotgun gauges can I use these targets for?

These are designed for shotgun patterning in general, making them suitable for any turkey gun—whether you're shooting 12-gauge, 20-gauge, or other shotgun loads.
