Powder River Precision
The Powder River Precision XDM 9/40 drop-in trigger kit transforms your striker-fired pistol's trigger performance with factory-friendly engineering. If you've run an XD or XDM and felt that long pre-travel and mushy break, this kit addresses both by replacing the stock trigger assembly with Powder River's proven design—no gunsmithing required. The kit swaps in a lightweight polymer trigger body paired with reduced-power springs across the striker safety lever, trigger spring, sear spring, and striker spring, resulting in a crisp 3.5 to 4.5 pound pull with dramatically faster reset.
What sets this apart from budget trigger upgrades is attention to how the parts interact. The integral over-travel stop built into the back of the trigger body eliminates the stress concentration that external stops create on the trigger bar—a detail that matters if you shoot regularly and want long-term reliability. The lightweight polymer trigger itself helps speed reset without adding weight to your slide or receiver, keeping your pistol balanced for both defensive and range use. Installation is straightforward enough for most shooters comfortable swapping parts, and the design maintains your XDM's reliability record.
Powder River Precision earned the American Pistolsmith Guild Seal of Approval for this kit, a credential that reflects real testing and real-world performance rather than marketing hype. Whether you carry your XDM, compete with it, or just want a better trigger for range sessions, this drop-in kit delivers the feel of a custom pistol without the custom price or wait time.
