Pioneer Arms
The Pioneer Hellpup Forged 7.62x39 is a compact AK-pattern pistol built on a forged trunnion, designed for shooters who want proven Kalashnikov reliability in a short, handy package. At 11.7 inches, this semi-auto pistol chambers the common 7.62x39 cartridge and comes ready to run with two 30-round magazines included—enough firepower to get you through a day at the range or into serious tactical training without reaching for extras right away. If you're hunting for a potent, no-nonsense AK pistol with industrial-grade metallurgy and synthetic construction that won't break the bank, the Hellpup Forged delivers.
Pioneer Arms has earned a solid reputation for producing AK rifles and pistols that honor the platform's legacy while keeping costs realistic. The forged trunnion here is the heart of the gun—a component that endures thousands of rounds and the stresses of semi-auto fire. Synthetic furniture means zero fussing with wood finish; point it, shoot it, clean it, repeat. The compact length makes it ideal for truck mounts, home defense training, or anyone who values maneuverability in a big-bore package.
This is the kind of pistol that appeals to AK enthusiasts who understand that Kalashnikov ergonomics and reliability don't require a rifle stock. Whether you're setting up a specialized range gun, exploring AK pistol competition, or building a redundant defensive platform, the Hellpup Forged gives you authentic AK performance without the legal complexity of a short-barrel rifle.
