Phase 5
The Phase 5 Weapon Systems Ambi 90-Degree Safety Selector brings genuine ambidextrous control to your AR platform rifle without the compromise of cramped or awkwardly positioned levers. If you're a left-handed shooter tired of fumbling for a right-hand-only safety, or simply want faster, more intuitive thumb manipulation from either side of the gun, this billet aluminum selector delivers the ergonomic flexibility modern shooters expect. Built from 6061-T6 aluminum and engineered with wide lever geometry, the SAFE-90 is fully configurable—you can set it up for your dominant hand or swap it between rifles in minutes.
Compatibility spans both AR-15 and AR-10 / LR-308 platforms, so whether you're running a standard rifle or a larger-frame magnum build, a single safety design works across your collection. The 90-degree throw keeps the lever positioned naturally in your hand's web and stays out of the way of your shooting grip when the gun is in battery.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic AR takedown; no special tools required. If you're building an ambi rifle from the ground up or retrofitting a right-hand-only upper receiver, this selector is one of the most direct upgrades you can make to improve handling and speed on the safety manipulator.

Yes. The Phase 5 Ambi 90-Degree Safety Selector is compatible with both AR-15 and AR-10 / LR-308 lower receivers, so you can use the same safety across different platform sizes.
Absolutely. The selector is fully ambidextrous and can be configured for left-hand or right-hand operation without requiring additional parts or different model numbers.
The 90-degree throw refers to the angle the lever travels from SAFE to FIRE. This positioning naturally aligns with your thumb and hand web, making the safety quicker to manipulate and more ergonomic than designs with wider or narrower throw angles.
No special tools are required. Installation involves basic AR lower receiver disassembly, which most shooters can handle with standard field stripping knowledge. If you're unfamiliar with your lower, consult an armorer or detailed build guide for your platform.
