Peterson Cartridge
Peterson Cartridge 260 Remington SRP brass brings match-grade consistency to your reloading bench. This 50-piece pack of small rifle primer (SRP) casings is built for precision shooters who demand minimal variation from round to round. Peterson's small-batch production process and rigorous quality control mean you're starting with brass that's already sorted for uniformity—one less variable between you and tighter groups at the range.
Whether you're loading for a 260 Rem hunting rifle, a competition bolt gun, or a custom build, Peterson SRP brass gives you the foundation for repeatable, accurate loads. The 260 Rem is a proven intermediate cartridge known for flat trajectory and moderate recoil, making it a smart choice for hunters and target shooters alike. Because Peterson runs smaller production batches, each lot maintains tighter concentricity and wall-thickness tolerances than mass-produced alternatives.
Important: Peterson SRP casings feature a 0.060" flash hole diameter, smaller than the 0.080" found in large rifle primer (LRP) versions. This means you'll need an X-small or undersized decapping pin when processing fired cases. Plan accordingly if you're adding this brass to an existing reloading setup, or keep it segregated from LRP brass to avoid mixing incompatible sizing and decapping tools.
This 50-count pack is ideal for load development, competition prep, or building a fresh component supply for your 260 Rem ammunition. Peterson brass is designed to be reloaded multiple times, so treat it as a long-term investment in consistency rather than single-use components.
| Cartridge | 260 Remington |
| Primer Type | Small Rifle Primer (SRP) |
| Flash Hole Diameter | 0.060" |
| Quantity per Box | 50 pieces |
| Manufacturer | Peterson Cartridge |
| Product Code | 40009-R |
Peterson SRP casings use a 0.060" flash hole, which requires an X-small or undersized decapping pin. Standard decapping pins are sized for larger flash holes and won't work properly with this brass.
While you can load for both in the same caliber, keep Peterson SRP brass separate if you're also using large rifle primer (LRP) brass, since the different flash hole sizes require different decapping pin sizes. Segregating them prevents tool mix-ups and processing errors.
Yes. The 260 Rem is effective for both applications, and Peterson's match-grade brass supports the accuracy and consistency needed for either discipline. The small-batch production standard makes it especially valuable for precision-focused handloaders.
Peterson brass is designed for multiple reloads. Actual lifespan depends on your load density, bullet weight, and case care, but quality brass like this typically yields many reloading cycles before showing signs of fatigue.
