The 3M Peltor SF400PG8 Sport SecureFit 400 adult wraparound safety glasses deliver reliable eye protection for shooters, hunters, and outdoor workers who need to stay comfortable during long hours on the range or in the field. Built with impact-resistant gray polycarbonate lenses and a black frame, these glasses provide the optical clarity and durability that serious shooters and outdoor enthusiasts depend on when safety is non-negotiable.

Comfort matters when you're spending hours at the range or deep in the backcountry. The SecureFit 400 Series features soft, adjustable nose pads that let you dial in a custom fit without digging in, plus padded temple touchpoints that reduce fatigue at the ears. The real innovation here is 3M's Pressure Diffusion Temple Technology—it spreads contact pressure across a wider area of your ear, so the glasses stay secure without that clamping feeling that makes you want to take them off halfway through the day. Whether you're running drills, sighting in a new rifle, or working gear maintenance in harsh conditions, a properly fitted pair of safety glasses should be invisible to you.

The wraparound design maximizes coverage from multiple angles, important if you're shooting with others or working in environments where debris or splatter could approach from the side. The gray polycarbonate lenses cut glare and provide good contrast in bright outdoor light without the color shift or warmth you get from some amber or yellow coatings—a straight-ahead choice for general-purpose work and sport shooting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these safety glasses suitable for shooting and range use?

Yes. The impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses and secure wraparound design make them appropriate for shooting sports and range work. The gray lens provides good visibility in outdoor light without significant color distortion.

How do the nose pads and temple pads improve comfort?

The soft, adjustable nose pads let you customize fit without pressure points, and the padded temple touchpoints reduce fatigue where the frame contacts your ears. Combined with the Pressure Diffusion Temple Technology, this design spreads contact pressure across a wider area so the glasses stay comfortable during extended use.

Will these glasses stay in place during active use?

The wraparound design and Pressure Diffusion Temple Technology work together to provide a secure fit without the clamping sensation that causes slippage. The adjustable nose pads also help you dial in a stable fit for your face shape.

What lens color should I choose for outdoor work?

The gray polycarbonate lens in this model offers neutral color transmission and good contrast in bright outdoor conditions without the warmth or tint of amber or yellow lenses. It's a versatile choice for general outdoor and shooting use.
