The Otis FGSRS22 is a complete rifle and pistol cleaning kit purpose-built for .22, .223, and 5.56mm shooters who want to keep their firearms in reliable condition without breaking the bank or cluttering the range bag. Whether you're running a rimfire plinker, an AR-15, or a precision rifle chambered in .223, this kit brings together the essentials—brass components that clean safely without marring bore surfaces, a no-nonsense assortment of brushes and patches, and the right lubricant to keep things running smooth. It's the kind of kit that lives in your truck, stays on your cleaning bench, or travels to the range, ready to handle routine maintenance on any .22 or .223 platform.

Otis builds this kit around durability and simplicity. The four brass rod sections feature male and female 8-32 threaded ends paired with a swivel handle for easy maneuverability in tight bore work. A .22 caliber bronze phosphor bore brush, cotton mop, and brass pierce-point jag handle the heavy lifting, while 100 pre-cut 1"x1" patches and an all-purpose nylon brush round out your cleaning toolkit. A 0.5 oz. bottle of FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP ensures your gun stays protected between outings. Everything arrives in a yellow plastic box—compact enough to throw in a range bag, sturdy enough to last.

Made in the USA and designed by shooters who understand that good gun maintenance is just part of responsible ownership, this Otis kit trades hype for reliability. You won't find flashy branding or oversized handles here—just quality brass, proven chemistry, and the kind of straightforward engineering that's made Otis a go-to for military and civilian shooters for decades.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers does this Otis cleaning kit work with?

The FGSRS22 is sized for .22 rimfire, .22-250, .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 5.56mm, and 5.7mm calibers. The .22 caliber brush and mop fit these bore sizes perfectly.

Will the brass components damage my rifle bore?

No. Otis specifically uses brass rod sections and brushes because brass is softer than steel and won't scratch or wear your bore. This is especially important for precision rifles where bore integrity matters.

What's included in the box?

You get four brass rod sections with a swivel handle, a .22 caliber bronze phosphor bore brush, a .22 caliber cotton bore mop, a .22 caliber brass jag, a brass adapter, 100 pre-cut 1"x1" cleaning patches, an all-purpose nylon brush, and a 0.5 oz. bottle of FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP.

Is this kit good for AR-15s and modern rifles?

Yes. If you run an AR-15 in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington, this kit has the right size brush and rod sections to clean your rifle quickly and safely. The brass components and included lubricant make it ideal for modern sporting rifles.
