The Noveske Optics Ready Slide and Barrel for Glock 17 Gen 3 gives you a modern, modular platform for mounting optics directly to your pistol's slide. If you're building or upgrading a duty, competition, or personal defense Glock 17, this direct mount system lets you run a compact red dot or other optic without relying solely on iron sights—and you still have the option to keep a forward-mounted rear sight in the fight. This is the complete slide and barrel assembly, so it's a significant upgrade path for shooters who want faster sight picture and better accuracy without a full custom build.

Noveske engineered this slide as an optics-ready platform, meaning the top is machined to accept direct-mount optic footprints. The kit includes everything you need to get running: the slide itself, a Noveske barrel, front and rear sights, and the necessary end and cover plates. That means less hunting for compatible parts and faster installation. The black finish is clean and purpose-built.

This is the right choice if you're modernizing a Gen 3 Glock 17 and want the flexibility to add an optic later or go all-in immediately. Whether you're outfitting a home defense pistol, a range gun, or something in between, a direct mount platform keeps your setup lean and lets you choose your sight system based on your mission, not your gun.

Yes. This slide and barrel assembly is designed specifically for Glock 17 Gen 3 frames.

What optics can I mount to this slide?

The slide features a direct mount optics platform. The specific optic footprints and compatibility will depend on the optic manufacturers' designs; consult your optic documentation and Noveske's compatibility guidance before purchase.

What's included in this kit?

The kit includes the Noveske optics-ready slide, a Noveske barrel, a front sight, a rear sight cover plate, and an end plate. You will need to have or source a Glock 17 Gen 3 frame to complete the pistol.
