Nosler
Nosler Solid Base rifle bullets in 7mm .284" deliver a time-tested formula for handloaders who demand both precision and reliability without premium pricing. This reintroduced line combines decades of proven field performance with modern manufacturing, making it a smart choice for hunters building ammunition for everything from whitetail to elk. The 140-grain weight hits a practical sweet spot for 7mm hunting rifles, balancing velocity potential with terminal performance across typical hunting ranges.
The Solid Base design centers on a heavy boat tail base paired with Nosler's Gen 5 tapered jacket and a soft point construction. That combination drives deep through heavy bone and muscle while managing expansion to deliver the energy transfer hunters need for clean, ethical kills. Consistency shot-to-shot is built in—these bullets are manufactured to the precision standards you expect from Nosler, but at a price point that makes premium handloading accessible to serious reloaders on a budget.
Whether you're fine-tuning loads for a bolt-action hunting rifle or stocking up for the season, a 50-count box gives you enough to work with meaningful sample sizes during load development. If you've used Solid Base bullets before, you know what to expect. If this is your first time with the line, you're getting a solid entry into quality component bullets backed by real-world hunting performance.
