Nosler
Match-grade precision starts with the right bullet, and the Nosler Custom Competition .22 caliber rifle bullets are engineered for serious competitors and precision shooters who won't accept mediocre groups. These 52-grain hollow point boat-tail rounds combine a finely crafted custom jacket with a precisely balanced lead-alloy core to deliver the consistency that separates competitive shooters from the rest. Whether you're fine-tuning loads for a benchrest rifle, working up handloads for competition, or simply demanding maximum accuracy on the range, these bullets reward meticulous attention to your reloading process.
The hollow point design isn't there for expansion—it's engineered to present a small meplat that cuts aerodynamic drag and boosts ballistic efficiency downrange. Paired with the pronounced boat-tail geometry, this profile maintains stable flight across a wide velocity window, meaning your loads will shoot consistently even if your powder charge or seating varies slightly. Nosler backs this engineering with hand inspection during manufacturing, a level of quality control that reflects the brand's commitment to match-level performance.
Reloaders who have invested time and money into precision equipment deserve ammunition components that won't waste their effort. The custom form-fitted jacket hugs the core without voids or runout issues, and the lead-alloy blend is designed for optimal weight retention and balance. At 52 grains, this bullet weight is a proven performer in .22 caliber competition and target work. Each box ships 100 count, giving you enough to develop and test a serious load without breaking the bank on trial quantities.
| Caliber | .22 cal (.224") |
| Weight | 52 grains |
| Bullet Style | Hollow Point Boat-Tail (HPBT) |
| Count Per Box | 100 |
| Manufacturer | Nosler Bullets |
.224" diameter bullets are the standard for .22 caliber rifle cartridges, including .22-250 Remington, .220 Swift, and other centerfire .22 rounds used in competition, varmint, and target shooting.
These bullets are designed and optimized for competition and precision target shooting. The hollow point configuration is engineered for aerodynamic efficiency rather than expansion, so they are not suitable for hunting applications where bullet expansion is needed for ethical game taking.
HPBT stands for Hollow Point Boat-Tail. The hollow point reduces drag at the nose, while the boat-tail design (a tapered base) improves aerodynamic stability and extends effective range by maintaining velocity better downrange.
Yes. Nosler Custom Competition bullets are specifically engineered for match-grade accuracy. The form-fitted jacket, precision lead-alloy core, and hand-inspection quality control make them well-suited to competitors and precision handloaders who demand tight groups and consistent performance.
