Nosler
The Nosler RDF Match 22 Cal .224 85gr HPBT bullets are precision reloading projectiles engineered for shooters chasing flat trajectories and minimal wind deflection. Built with a meticulously optimized compound ogive and long drag-reducing boat-tail, these 100-count boxes deliver the ballistic efficiency competitive shooters and long-range hunters demand. Whether you're handloading for a precision rifle, F-Class competition, or varmint hunting, the RDF's sleek aerodynamic profile translates to tighter groups and more predictable wind performance downrange.
Reloading consistency matters, and Nosler engineered these bullets with that principle in mind. The uniform, minimal meplat on every hollow point—among the smallest in the match bullet market—means less tip-pointing and trimming work before you seat them. That translates to faster loading sessions without sacrificing the shot-to-shot uniformity that separates good ammo from great ammo. If you're already invested in quality brass and powders, RDF bullets reward that precision with performance.
The .224 85gr weight strikes a practical balance for 22-caliber platforms: heavy enough to retain downrange energy and BC, but still controllable in moderate-velocity 22 centerfire loads. Competitors, long-range trainers, and dedicated handloaders who refuse to compromise on ballistics will recognize the RDF's pedigree immediately—it's the kind of bullet that doesn't force you to make excuses for wind or distance.
| Caliber | .224 |
| Bullet Weight | 85 grains |
| Bullet Type | Hollow Point Boat-Tail (HPBT) |
| Count | 100 |
These .224 85gr bullets are designed for 22-caliber centerfire rifles, including .223 Remington, 22-250 Remington, and other 22 centerfire platforms. Consult your specific rifle's manual and load data to confirm compatibility and appropriate powder/primer combinations.
Yes. The RDF's optimized ballistic coefficient and boat-tail design make them well-suited for precision rifle competitions (F-Class, ELR, benchrest variants) and long-range hunting applications where trajectory flatness and wind resistance are critical.
The RDF's design features exceptionally small and consistent meplats—among the smallest in match hollow-point lines—which minimizes or eliminates the need for tip pointing or meplat trimming. This saves time during the handloading process compared to many competing match bullets.
Each box contains 100 bullets ready for handloading into your prepared brass.
