North American Arms
The North American Arms Wasp is a compact .22 Mag/.22 LR revolver built from stainless steel—a no-nonsense pocket revolver for hunters, hikers, and anyone who wants reliable backup protection in a genuinely packable platform. If you've dismissed mini-revolvers as novelties, the Wasp's cylinder design and caliber versatility deserve a closer look. This is the kind of gun you'll actually carry because it doesn't demand a holster announcement.
What sets the Wasp apart from typical pocket revolvers is its half-way notch cylinder: the hammer can rest safely between loaded chambers, eliminating the need to carry on an empty chamber. That's a genuine advantage when you're working with a five-shot gun. You get immediate access to all five rounds without the mechanical compromise of a traditional design. The stainless steel construction handles weather and rough use—whether you're in the field, on the water, or doing ranch work—without the maintenance burden of blued steel.
The .22 Magnum cartridge packs more velocity and energy than standard .22 LR, especially useful if you're dealing with small game or yard pests. The Wasp accepts all popular .22 Magnum ammunition, including .22 Magnum shot shells (Snake Shot), giving you genuine versatility in the field. The dual-caliber design means you can use .22 LR ammunition as well, making it practical for practice, small-game hunting, or situations where .22 Mag isn't necessary. Stainless construction pairs naturally with .22 Magnum's corrosive priming compounds, so you won't baby the gun or worry about rust from extended storage.
This is a working tool, not a safe queen. Carry it, use it, and trust it to perform.

Many shooters appreciate the flexibility, especially for extended range sessions or when ammunition availability varies.
No. The Wasp's design includes a half-way notch cylinder that allows the hammer to rest safely and securely between loaded chambers. This is the proper carry method and eliminates the need to carry on an empty chamber, which is a practical advantage on a five-shot revolver.
Yes. The Wasp is compatible with .22 Magnum shot shells (also called Snake Shot by some manufacturers), making it practical for pest control, small game, or backcountry situations where shot is more useful than a solid bullet.
.22 Magnum ammunition uses corrosive priming compounds that can rust conventional blued steel if not cleaned promptly. Stainless steel resists this corrosion naturally, so you can carry and use the Wasp in harsh conditions or wet environments without worrying about rust or requiring frequent cleaning to prevent damage.
