Night Fision
Night Fision's sight set for the FN 509 brings serious low-light capability to your carry or duty pistol. Built around an orange front post paired with a square notch rear, this tritium night sight setup cuts through darkness without relying on a flashlight—ideal for defensive shooting, range sessions, or any scenario where the sun isn't cooperating. These sights are manufactured in the USA using Swiss tritium, backed by Night Fision's reputation for brightness and durability.
What sets these apart is the engineering behind the glow. Night Fision loads more tritium into each vial than typical night sights, and their domed lens design is cut to focus that tritium output into a crisp, defined sight picture rather than a dull haze. That matters when speed and precision count. The steel construction is finished in Black Nitride, a proven coating that resists wear and corrosion—important for a daily-carry gun that might see weather, sweat, or rough handling.
Installation is where these sights require attention: Night Fision recommends having a gunsmith handle the swap to ensure proper fit and zero. The injection-molded sleeve holding the tritium vials is designed for durability, but getting them installed right the first time is the move. Once they're in, you've got a reliable low-light sighting system that doesn't need batteries and won't let you down in the field or on the defensive line.

Yes, this set is designed specifically for the FN 509. However, installation should be handled by a gunsmith to ensure proper fit and zero.
Night Fision loads more tritium per vial than most competitors on the market. The domed lens further concentrates that glow into a sharper, more defined sight picture.
Gunsmith installation is recommended. While some experienced gunsmiths or armorer-level shooters might handle the swap themselves, having a professional ensure proper fit and zero is the safest approach.
Tritium has a half-life of approximately 12 years, meaning the sights will remain visible well beyond that, though with reduced brightness over time. The exact lifespan depends on use and storage conditions, but these are designed to stay functional for the life of the pistol.
