NCStar
The NCStar TARW Armorer's Barrel Wrench is a multi-function AR-platform maintenance tool built for shooters who service their own rifles. If you're upgrading barrels, adjusting gas tubes, or maintaining castle nuts on AR-15, M4, or M16 platforms, this black steel combo wrench consolidates several jobs into one compact package—no need to hunt through your toolbox for separate wrenches every time you crack open your upper receiver.
Built from durable steel construction and weighing just over a pound, this wrench handles both older single-pin and newer M4 collapsible stock configurations. The tool includes wrench surfaces for GI barrel nuts (A1 and A2 flash suppressor designs), castle nut adjustments, and an integrated 1/2" drive ratchet socket—letting you torque fasteners to spec without swapping tools. A flat-blade screwdriver tip rounds out the multi-use design.
At 12.7 inches long, it's compact enough to keep in a range bag or cleaning kit without taking up serious space. The combination approach means fewer separate tools to lose, organize, or buy separately. Whether you're a dedicated tinkerer running a precision build or a shooter who prefers to handle routine maintenance at home, this wrench is a straightforward addition to your AR gunsmithing setup.
