Mustad Hooks
The Mustad O'Shaughnessy Trot Line Hook in Size 2/0 is a workhorse saltwater option for anglers setting live-bait rigs on trot lines, trolling spreads, and saltwater multi-hook setups. Built on Mustad's time-proven O'Shaughnessy pattern, this 100-count pack delivers the durability and hook-set geometry serious saltwater fishermen expect when targeting hard-pulling game fish in inshore and offshore conditions.
The defining features of the O'Shaughnessy design—a large, straight eye and a forged, robust hook shank—make this size ideal for rigging live baitfish or natural baits on single, double, or triple configurations. The forged construction provides the strength needed to resist bending and breaking under the head-shaking runs of aggressive saltwater species, and the straight eye simplifies rig assembly whether you're tying direct or using heavy single-strand wire and fluorocarbon leaders.
Size 2/0 sits in the mid-range of the O'Shaughnessy lineup, striking a balance between bite diameter and holding power for a range of baitfish presentations and target species. Whether you're rigging live mackerel, mullet, herring, or sardines for kings, blues, wahoo, or barracuda, or deploying them as trailer hooks on heavier spinnerbaits, this hook size covers common saltwater live-bait and trolling scenarios without overcomplicating your rig.
A 100-count pack means you'll have spares for resharpening, rebaiting, and the inevitable snags and break-offs that come with saltwater fishing. Stock a box in your boat or tackle bag and keep your trot lines and spreads rigged and ready.
