The Muddy TRX Softshell Jacket in Mossy Oak Bottomland is built for hunters who demand gear that keeps pace with demanding seasons without betraying your position. Part of Muddy's Timber Recon Extreme (TRX) series, this softshell jacket delivers the quiet, durable performance you need when conditions turn unpredictable. Whether you're glassing hillsides, climbing into a stand, or sitting through cold, damp mornings, the TRX engineered to balance protection with mobility in ways most hunting jackets simply don't.
The jacket's windproof and highly water-resistant construction handles light rain and damp conditions without the noise or bulk of traditional hard shells. Stretch cuff gussets on each sleeve give you a snug, flexible fit that won't bind when you're drawing your bow or shouldering a rifle—a detail that matters more than it sounds when a moment counts. Two zippered side vents let you dial in temperature by opening up cooling airflow when you're working hard on the approach, then sealing things down when you settle in. The softshell fabric itself is engineered to move quietly, a core principle of the TRX line.
Storage is practical: chest and handwarmer pockets keep essentials within reach without creating bulk or noise. An integrated harness port streamlines attaching your tree stand safety system, eliminating fumbling and keeping your focus on the hunt. Available in Mossy Oak Bottomland camo and sized for a precise fit, the TRX Softshell Jacket is the kind of workhorse layer that earns its place in your rotation season after season.

Yes. The TRX Softshell is designed for stationary and active hunting. The integrated harness port makes attaching your safety system straightforward, and the quiet fabric won't spook game while you're settling in or making subtle adjustments.
No. The stretch cuff gussets on each sleeve are engineered to flex and move with your arms without binding, so you can draw a bow or shoulder a rifle without fighting the fabric.
The TRX Softshell is highly water-resistant and handles light rain and damp conditions. It's not designed as a heavy-rain shell; for sustained downpours, you'd want to pair it with a true rainproof outer layer.
The zippered side vents open to allow airflow and cooling during physical exertion—like hiking to your stand or working a ridge—and can be closed when you're sitting still in cooler conditions.
