Mossberg
The Mossberg 940 Sporting 12 gauge shotgun is a semi-automatic competition and hunting platform built to handle the demands of clay courses and field work alike. Built on a proven gas-operated system, the 940 Sporting delivers reliable cycling with a 4-round capacity and 26-inch ventilated-rib barrel that's ready to shoot right out of the box. Its lightweight synthetic stock and streamlined forend are textured for positive control even in wet conditions, while internal components—including the gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear—feature nickel-boron coating to resist corrosion and keep the action running clean through extended use.
What sets this shotgun apart for serious sport shooters is its adjustable fit. The stock delivers a range of length-of-pull adjustments from 12.5 to 14.25 inches, with included shims to dial in cast and drop at the comb for a custom cheek weld tailored to your frame and shooting style. A HiViz CompSight fiber optic front sight helps you acquire targets quickly, while the enlarged and beveled loading port, elongated elevator, and anodized follower work together to smooth out the feeding cycle—critical details when every tenth of a second matters in the sporting clays game.
The receiver is drilled and tapped, ready to accept optics or additional accessories if you want to expand your setup. Briley extended choke tubes are included, giving you flexibility to tune your shot pattern for different distances and targets. At 7.25 pounds and 46.25 inches overall, the 940 Sporting balances pointability with enough heft to manage recoil and maintain swing through the shot. Quick-empty magazine release makes unloading fast and intuitive. Whether you're tuning for competition or hunting upland and waterfowl, the 940 Sporting is engineered to keep pace with your skill.
