Mossberg
The Mossberg 590SP 12 gauge shotgun is a no-nonsense, proven platform for home defense, law enforcement training, and tactical shooting. This 20-inch barreled 8+1 capacity pump gun delivers reliability and maneuverability in tight spaces without sacrificing firepower—the kind of tool that works when it matters. Built on the legendary 590 action, the 590SP combines a heat-shielded barrel, ghost ring iron sights for fast target acquisition, and a fixed synthetic stock designed for durability and minimal maintenance.
Whether you're setting up a home defense battery, training for personal protection, or running drills at the range, this shotgun handles 3-inch magnum loads and operates with the smooth, predictable cycling Mossberg 590 users have relied on for decades. The cylinder bore choke keeps patterns open for defensive distances, and the matte blued barrel resists corrosion without the upkeep of stainless steel. At 41 inches overall and 7.75 pounds, it points naturally and swings fast enough for dynamic scenarios.
Ghost ring sights let you engage threats quickly at close range and still work at distance—no batteries, no electronics, just steel you can trust. The synthetic stock shrugs off weather and handling abuse, and the heat shield protects your support hand during rapid fire or extended shooting. This is honest engineering: simple, effective, and built to run.

Many law enforcement and civilian trainers favor the 590 platform for exactly these reasons.
Yes. The 590SP has a 3-inch chamber and will cycle both standard 2.75-inch and 3-inch magnum ammunition.
Cylinder bore means there's no constriction in the choke—the shot pattern stays wide and open. This is ideal for defensive shooting indoors and at close range, where you want energy on target fast rather than a tight, distant pattern. It's a proven choice for home defense scenarios.
The heat shield protects your support hand and forearm from barrel heat during rapid fire or extended shooting sessions. On a 20-inch defensive shotgun you might operate hard and fast, the shield makes that safer and more comfortable.
