Mossberg
The Mossberg Patriot Carbine in 22-250 Rem is a compact, versatile bolt-action rifle built for hunters who need a handy, accurate platform without the bulk of a full-size rifle. At just 18 inches, this threaded bull barrel carbine splits the difference between portability and ballistic performance—ideal for varmint hunters, predator callers, and anyone who values a rifle that's easy to maneuver in tight terrain or from a vehicle. The 22-250 is a flat-shooting, high-velocity round that excels on coyotes, prairie dogs, and other small game, and this Mossberg delivers it in a genuinely practical package.
What makes the Patriot Carbine stand out in its class is the thoughtful engineering. The medium bull barrel comes threaded (5/8-24 TPI) and ready for a suppressor or muzzle device, so you can tailor the rifle to your setup without gunsmith work. The recessed match crown protects accuracy, while the matte blued finish and black synthetic stock keep things rugged and no-frills. The top-mounted Picatinny rail accepts modern optics and accessories, giving you a solid foundation for a hunting or range build.
Mossberg's LBA trigger is user-adjustable across a 2–7 lb range, so you can dial it in to your preference without extra parts or tools. The spiral-fluted bolt cycles smoothly and features an oversized handle for positive manipulation in gloved conditions. A drop-box magazine system feeds 5+1 rounds, and the fixed synthetic stock keeps weight down while handling field use. At 6.4 lbs, this carbine won't wear you out on a long stalk, and at 38.25 inches overall length with a 13.75-inch length of pull, it points naturally for most shooters.
Build it as a suppressed predator rifle, a compact range gun, or a truck rifle—the Patriot Carbine's short barrel, modular design, and proven action make it a smart choice for serious varmint and small-game hunters who refuse to compromise on accuracy or handling.
