Montana X-Treme
A serious rifle demands serious maintenance, and the Montana X-Treme Professional Grade Gun Cleaning Kit for .30-.50 caliber rifles is built to handle the job without compromise. Whether you're breaking in a new hunting rifle, maintaining a precision long-range shooter, or rotating through a collection, this kit gives you the core tools and solvents needed to keep larger-caliber bores clean and protected. Made in the USA with professional-grade materials, it's the kind of kit that earns its place in the gun room year after year.
The centerpiece is a four-piece cleaning rod engineered for durability and precision. Constructed from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel with a centerless ground shaft, the rod resists picking up grit and dirt—a critical feature when running it through a bore. The hardened steel pre-loaded bearing system prevents galling and wear, so you get smooth, reliable operation even with repeated use. The solid aluminum handle is anodized for comfort and corrosion resistance, designed to feel right in your hand during long cleaning sessions.
The chemical side covers your bases with Montana X-Treme's own bore solvent and gun oil, both included in 2 oz bottles. You get matched .30 caliber jag and brush for your bore work, 100 percent cotton flannel patches that won't shed or disintegrate, and a full accessory set: stainless steel pick and scraper for stubborn carbon, two double-ended brushes (one brass, one stiff nylon), and pipets for precise application. Everything you need to strip, scrub, and protect is right here.
This is a kit built by people who understand that gun maintenance isn't a chore—it's respect for the tool. The four-piece rod maxes out at 36 inches of useable length, giving you real reach and leverage in the bore without requiring multiple extensions.

This kit is designed for .30 to .50 caliber rifles. The included jag and brush are .30 caliber, making it ideal for common centerfire hunting and target rifles in that range, though the rod and accessories can accommodate larger bores with appropriate additional jags and brushes.
The four-piece rod provides 36 inches of useable length, which is sufficient for most rifle bores. If you're working with an unusually long barrel or want extra reach, you may want to supplement with additional rod extensions.

A centerless ground shaft is smoother and more uniform than a standard shaft, which means it won't pick up grit and dirt as readily. This keeps your bore cleaner and reduces the risk of scratching or damaging the bore walls during the cleaning process.
