The Midwest Industries MK2 QD RMR Mount in low position is a quick-detach optic mount built for shooters who demand precision and reliability on the job. This is the updated generation of Midwest's QD platform, engineered to handle red dot optics like the Trijicon RMR with the smooth, tool-free adjustability and rock-solid zero repeatability that serious users depend on. Whether you're running a duty rifle, competition gun, or home-defense setup, a quality QD mount pays for itself the first time you need to service your optic or swap it between rifles.

The MK2 QD RMR Mount uses Midwest's patented quick-detach lever—made by Elite Defense—with a reputation for the smoothest operation in the market. The lever is fully adjustable without tools, so you can dial in the exact tension that works for your rail, even if it's not perfectly Mil-Spec. The clamping geometry is engineered to grip without marring or coining the Picatinny rail, a detail that matters if you plan to sell or trade your upper down the road. Premium engraving, hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum, and precision machining combine to deliver a mount that will return to zero shot after shot, year after year.

The low-height configuration is designed for 1/3 cowitness with most AR-pattern iron sights, keeping your sight picture natural and your cheek weld consistent. Midwest includes their Optic Mount Tool for hassle-free optic adjustment and fitting. The mount is manufactured in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this low-height mount cowitness with standard AR iron sights?

Yes. The low-height configuration is designed for 1/3 cowitness, which aligns the RMR's optical axis with iron sights in a natural sight picture.

Can I adjust the QD lever tension to fit my rifle's rail?

Absolutely. The MK2 QD lever is fully adjustable without tools, allowing you to dial in exact tension to fit rails that may not be precisely machined to Mil-Spec tolerances.

What's included in the box?

The mount ships with Midwest Industries' Optic Mount Tool, which is used for optic adjustment and fitting. Replacement optic-specific scope ring caps are available for purchase separately if needed.

Is this mount compatible with other optic patterns besides the RMR?

This mount is manufactured specifically for RMR-pattern optics. Midwest offers the same MK2 QD platform in other patterns such as Acro, T2, and micro dot clones, so verify your optic's mounting footprint before ordering.
