The Midwest Marlin 1894 Extended Sight System for .44 caliber rifles brings modern ergonomics and tactical versatility to a classic lever-action platform. Built for hunters and sport shooters who want to upgrade their 1894 with quality iron sights and a modular forend, this handguard system combines a full-length top Picatinny rail, integrated aperture sights, and M-LOK accessory mounting into one lightweight, rigid package. If you're running a .44 Marlin and looking to add glass, a light, or a modern shooting setup without sacrificing the rifle's classic character, this upgrade delivers the hardware to make it happen.

The system centers on a hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum handguard measuring 13.625 inches long and 1.640 inches wide—substantial enough for a stable hold and accessory mounting, yet slim enough to preserve the rifle's natural feel. The full-length top rail accepts any standard Picatinny-mount optic or light; the included 5-slot M-LOK section gives you bolt-on options for pressure switches, cable management, or tactical accessories. A forward-mounted sling swivel keeps traditional hunting slings in play, and the included sight adjustment tool makes field tweaks simple.

Midwest Industries engineered the forend with multiple contact points against the receiver for zero-slop mounting and real-world durability. The integrated steel rear ghost ring and front sight post handle fast-target acquisition at hunting ranges and provide a wide windage and elevation adjustment window to accommodate different .44 ammunition loads. Everything is made in the USA and built to last—the anodized finish shrugs off weather, dust, and the kind of use a working rifle takes in the field.

Installation requires a Marlin 1894 with a forward handguard cap. This system is not compatible with 336Y models, 1894P models, or rifles fitted with an XS Lever Scout Mount. If your 1894 is a standard model with a cap, you're ready to upgrade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this handguard fit my Marlin 1894?

This Extended Sight System fits standard Marlin 1894 rifles equipped with a forward handguard cap. It is not compatible with 336Y models, 1894P models, or rifles with an XS Lever Scout Mount. Check your rifle's cap and receiver layout before ordering.

Can I mount a scope or red dot on the Picatinny rail?

Yes. The full-length top Picatinny rail accepts any standard Picatinny-mount optic, sight, light, or laser. You can run a low-power scope, red dot, or keep the integrated iron sights as your primary aiming system.

What's included in the package?

The system includes the aluminum handguard with integrated ghost ring and front post sights, one 5-slot M-LOK rail section, a forward sling swivel, and a Midwest Industries sight adjustment tool for field zero and windage/elevation tuning.

Do these sights work with different .44 loads?

Yes. The rear ghost ring and front post have a wide windage and elevation adjustment range to accommodate velocity and point-of-impact shifts between different .44 ammunition loads, so you can dial in your preferred hunting round.
