The Midwest Industries MK2 QD rifle scope mount is a quick-detach 30mm mounting system built for shooters who demand smooth operation and rock-solid repeatability. This is a refined take on Midwest's proven MK2 platform—updated with premium detailing and the refined feel of a mount that's seen real field use. If you run a modern rifle with Picatinny rail and want a scope that stays zeroed when you take it off and put it back on, this is the kind of precision tool that earns its place on a serious hunting rifle or precision carbine.

The engineering here speaks for itself: a patented QD lever (licensed from Elite Defense) that operates smoother than typical friction-based designs, with fully toolless adjustment to dial in the exact tension your particular rail needs. That matters because not all Mil-Spec rails are built equal, and this mount accommodates the real world. The clamping action is engineered to protect your rail from dings and wear while delivering the kind of return-to-zero performance that lets you confidently swap optics between guns or pull a scope for storage without losing your zero.

Built from hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum, the MK2 QD is finished with Torx hardware and premium engraving throughout—functional details that reflect Midwest's attention to detail. You get the Midwest Industries Optic Mount Tool included, which makes initial setup and adjustment straightforward. The mount handles scopes with objectives up to 56mm, covers a standard 30mm tube diameter, and is proudly made in the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the MK2 QD mount work on my rifle?

The MK2 QD uses a standard Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail attachment, so it's compatible with any modern rifle or carbine with Picatinny rail. The toolless QD lever adjustment also allows you to dial in the fit on rails that fall slightly outside Mil-Spec tolerances.

Can I adjust the QD lever without tools?

Yes. The QD lever and its tension adjustment mechanism require no tools—all adjustments are fully toolless so you can customize the fit and feel to your preference in the field.

What's included with the mount?

The Midwest Industries MK2 QD comes with the Optic Mount Tool, which is used for proper scope adjustment and installation into the rings.

What size scopes will fit?

The mount accepts standard 30mm diameter scope tubes and is compatible with scopes featuring objectives up to 56mm in diameter.
