The Midwest Industries Combat Rail T-Series 9.5" Free Float Handguard is a purpose-built AR-platform rail system designed for shooters who demand a lightweight, modular platform without the bulk of traditional designs. Built from 6061 aluminum with Type 3 hard coat anodizing, this free float handguard isolates your barrel from the foregrip, allowing the barrel to vibrate naturally for improved accuracy at distance and on the bench. The 9.5" length strikes a practical balance between control and maneuverability, making it equally at home on a precision rifle, a duty carbine, or a do-it-all AR build.

Midwest Industries equipped this handguard with full-length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails—including a continuous monolithic top rail—so you can mount optics, lights, lasers, and other accessories exactly where you need them. The rails are T-marked for quick accessory positioning. Two integral anti-rotation QD sling sockets are molded into the design, giving you flexible sling attachment options without additional hardware. Every edge is fully dehorned and deburred for comfort during extended shooting sessions, and the modest profile (2.43" tall, 2.15" wide, 1.3" inside diameter) won't obstruct your view or restrict hand placement.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the included 4140 heat-treated barrel nut and torque wrench. The nut itself is engineered with a patented torque plate to ensure consistent, reliable clamping. Weight is honest and minimal—at 9.5" the assembled handguard tips the scale at just 11.8 oz—preserving your rifle's balance and handling. Everything is manufactured in the USA, backed by Midwest Industries' lifetime warranty, and compatible with standard forged upper receivers. Note that billet upper receiver dimensions vary widely; verify compatibility with your receiver manufacturer before purchase. Not designed for piston-driven ARs.
