The MDT Remington 700 SA 20 MOA scope base delivers the precision mounting platform long-range hunters and precision shooters need to extract every bit of elevation adjustment from their optics. Built specifically for Remington 700 short-action receivers, this Picatinny rail base combines MIL-STD-1913 spec construction with a built-in 20 MOA incline, giving you extra elevation travel for extended-range hunting and match shooting without relying on scope turret adjustments alone.
Unlike traditional ring-and-base combos that lock you into specific scope mounting heights, the MDT base accepts both Picatinny and Weaver-style scope rings, so you have real flexibility in choosing optics that fit your hunting or shooting style. The rail is machined with an integrated recoil lug on the underside, engineered to mate flush with your receiver's geometry and ejection port profile. That recoil lug absorbs impact energy and locks the base in place—no creep, no stress on mounting screws, no surprises on shot day.
Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum with a mil-spec Type III hard anodized finish that withstands field use without corrosion or wear. The base arrives with mounting hardware and is contoured to prevent snagging on gear or during rifle handling. Whether you're dialing steel at distance or hunting elk across a canyon, this 20 MOA platform gives your scope the elevation range and rock-solid stability to perform.

| Ring Compatibility | Picatinny and Weaver-style rings |
| MOA Incline | 20 MOA |
| Material | 6061-T6 Aluminum |
| Finish | Mil-Spec Type III Hard Anodized |
| Features | Integrated recoil lug, flush receiver profile |
No. This base is engineered specifically for Remington 700 short-action receivers. If you have a long-action platform, you'll need a different base designed for that receiver type.
The MDT base accepts both MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and Weaver-style scope rings, giving you broad compatibility across modern ring options. Just verify your rings match one of those standards.
The 20 MOA incline built into the base gives your scope additional elevation adjustment range without maxing out the scope's turret. This is especially valuable for long-range hunting or precision shooting where you need room to dial up for distance. It also allows lower-magnification scopes to reach farther distances than they could on a flat base.
The recoil lug is a machined protrusion on the base's underside that locks into the receiver, absorbing recoil energy directly. This prevents the base from shifting under recoil and protects mounting screws from stress, ensuring your scope stays zeroed shot after shot.
